About Us

Our story

Aurhora was conceived from the ideals of two chemistry students in the last year of graduation at UNIFESP, in 2012, when they had their first contact with the field of chemistry of precious metals, falling in love with the area and devising solutions for the gaps in the study and dissemination of this science. With these ideals of dissemination in mind, these students took the initiative to offer courses in metal refining and other related areas, so that it would be possible to transmit knowledge about the correct way to handle and recycle this type of material. These courses still exist, and can be accessed on the website of Oito Metais, Aurhora's current subsidiary, which offers consultancy in the area in addition to the courses.

With the company's growth, in January 2020 Aurhora's first office for X-ray fluorescence analysis was inaugurated, which allowed the company to enter the USP business incubator (CIETEC) in just six months. Inside the CIETEC incubator, Aurhora acquired a home for its first metal refining and analysis laboratory. Since then, Aurhora has continuously worked on the analysis and metallurgy of precious metals, with the chemistry of Rhodium as its main focus. Therefore, the company has recently been working with the development of solutions for Rhodium Plating, which are mostly used in the plating of jewelry and costume jewelry.

At last, it can be said that the differential of this company lies in the transformation of Rhodium residues (whether they are plated copper wires, exhausted plating baths or metallic alloys) into new solutions for plating through the separation of metals and chemical purification.

Mission

To spread knowledge and deliver high quality products and services to meet repressed demands of the precious metal handling market.

Vision

To be a reference company in the precious metals recycling field, which, in addition to having zero discards, makes access to knowledge in the area more feasible, so that everyone can be informed about the metal analysis and recycling processes.

Values

Our two core values are to encourage transparency in the analysis and industrialization process and to promote the importance of recycling in order to avoid the improper disposal of metals and reduce the need for mineral extraction, which has a high environmental cost.

This company has USP DNA

Our company has USP DNA, which means it is a part of an initiative created to identify companies created by students, alumni and researchers who have studied in the University of São Paulo (USP), as well as companies that participated in incubation or acceleration processes in any of the incubators associated with USP.

We are currently members of the CIETEC Incubator (Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology), which offers support in several areas, such as technology and business administration, or fundraising and investment. In addition, CIETEC also has physical facilities and specific environments for exchanging experiences and interacting with other companies, thus providing a safe space for the development and strengthening of micro and small technology-based businesses.
We are proud to be part of this project, which aims to support and encourage entrepreneurship, innovation and Brazilian technology by valuing the work and knowledge of the country's scientists and researchers.
